I am so excited about sharing my first recipe! Identifying the first recipe to feature has been a challenge. I wanted to debut a recipe that represents my philosophy and approach to cooking. I like to cook with the freshest ingredients, and simply, highlighting the natural flavors. As much as I enjoy cooking, I don’t like to spend too much time prepping.

I will be showing you how to prepare steamed clams in a leek and sake broth, accompanied by sautéed shisito peppers, our favorite. This a simple, quick and flavorful dish for a warm spring day. It serves two people as a main meal, or 4 as an appetizer. The sweetness of the clams is complimented by sautéed leeks and topped with slices of Korean chili peppers to give it a kick.

Shisito peppers make a light and flavorful side dish to any meal, or delicious as snack on their own. You won’t spend more than 20 minutes preparing this meal, unless you incorporate a wine break, which I highly recommend.
